1947 - The Foundation

Virgona FL traces its roots to Virgona & Virgona Architects, a New Jersey–based firm established in 1947 by James V. Virgona. The firm built its reputation by combining a strong design orientation with a practical, service-driven approach.

Over decades, it delivered work across municipal, commercial, and residential projects, establishing a deep understanding of planning, design, and real-world execution that continues to influence how projects are delivered today.

Building on Experience

As the next generations entered the field, the focus expanded beyond architecture into development, construction, and project execution.

Through the work of Raymond, James T, and Mark Virgona, this evolution introduced a broader, more practical understanding of how projects move from concept through completion.

Today

Today, Virgona FL is led by Julian Virgona, carrying forward a multi-generational foundation in construction, development, and execution.

Based in South Florida, the firm focuses on commercial and residential projects, taking a hands-on approach and maintaining direct involvement throughout every phase of each project from preconstruction through completion.
